What's this talk of Fortounis to Besiktas?

A bit embarrassing really.

Olympiacos (Marinakis has good relations with Besiktas) wanted to sell Fortounis to Besiktas.
Fortounis stated he doesn't want to go.
Besiktas fans then went on Fortounis's social medial saying he should come.. he will love it etc..

It is really curious at the moment. Rumours are Garcia is at the door - meaning Olympiacos has not seen anything special from him so far and will give him to the end of the season show something.

The favourite to replace Garcia is none other than current Red Star coach and souvlaki fan - Vladan Milojević.

The club is already building for next season (super cryptic rumours are with the help of Milojević  :crazy2:). The talented keeper Gianniotis (who I recommended to Benfica) will most likely return to Olympiacos. So will Siopis and most likely the talented left-back Tsimikas. Also Manos (17 goals in 18 games for OFI) seems to be ours - as does a few Modesto connected French based players such as Mohamed Camara.

A lot depends on if we get a CL spot.

Our boys getting a chance, I see.  :)

Honestly I dont understand why clubs that don't have a manager already in line go out and buy players out right. Modesto really should wait and see what the future manager wants for his team, unless of course, they have already some one in line. Also don't like to see the DoF going out buying players from their own country.

FoMO - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fear_of_missing_out

Even Barcelona suffer from it - hence the completely inappropriate Arda and Gomes signings.

Olympiacos is simply idiotic in the way it hires and fires managers and the way it treats its academy players. We have improved a little. We used to loan our youth out to teams who would never play them. Now we loan them to clubs that are forced to play them (it is in the contract). The club still has a lot to learn however.

AEK seem to have re-signed their key players. PAOK too will probably keep their best players. This wont be easy.

BTW. Remember how I told everyone Olympiacos does not run the league - but other clubs do? PAO is about to be relegated for non payment of debts. Worse debts than the debts that saw Aris, Iraklis and other clubs automatically relegated to the 3rd division. Well the Govt is currently rewriting the law that debts don't get you relegated - specifically to save PAO from immediate relegation. Iraklis and Aris are amazed. Where was this legislation when they were on their knees? Tsipras is a PAO supporter - that is why PAO will most likely be saved. No PM has ever been a Aris or Iraklis fan..  :smokin:

Milojevic has said that he will not leave Zvezda and that he will continue his job here. And to be honest, I will not take it well if Olympiacos "steals" him from us, only because they can pay more.It wouls feel like my brother taking my gf away and then excusing himself by saying that he offered her better conditions. I think ( and hope) that nothing will come of this Milojevic-Olympiacos story. Not the least because he played for Panathinaikos.

I wish the best to Oly, with an excellent coach other than Miloje. Rui Vitoria why not. He will win his third title with Benfica, his wife wants to live abroad and he will not be immune to a fat paycheck and a big seaside house.

What an image!!

If we are talking about Miloje playing for PAO - maybe his time at Panionios somewhat diluted that stigma (Panionios very close to Olympiacos).  :rir:

Seriously I would not take it personal. Olympiacos is in flux at the moment. Looking for quick fixes..

Lots of news coming in today so will try and post it all here.

Marinakis has been acquitted in totality of running a criminal organisation today. There was simply no evidence. These were the major charges hanging over him for years that at each stage have shown to be nothing more than a prosecutor wanting to throw dirt at Marinakis.

Olympiacos officially docked -3 points for the pitch invasion after the games vs AEK! Also a 90k fine and two games behind closed doors (already served).

We are now waiting for the punishments of  PAOK vs AEK (Savvidis storming the pitch with a gun and the game getting cancelled as a result). Should be in the next few minutes.

PAOK vs OSFP punishment - till roll hitting Garcia and game abandoned - will be announced Friday.

Well, I really would not like that. Milojevic will eventually leave Zvezda, maybe to Olympiacos even, but not before his project here is over. And it is not yet.

It is best to see Olympiacos as represented by this situation at this moment in time:

AEK tried to save PAO!?

Yes - so did Olympiacos!!  :rir:

http://www.sport24.gr/football/ellada/SuperLeague/olympiakos-kai-aek-pshfisan-yper-toy-panathhnaikou.5137971.html

PAOK voted to relegate PAO! So did 5 other clubs meaning PAO is now in danger of being relegated immediately! PAO needed at least 12 clubs to carry the motion. Now the motion has been dismissed! PAOK said they voted to demote PAO because allowing them to stay in the league would be unfair to Iraklis who were demoted for the same reason.. Like PAOK gives a single shit about Iraklis.  ;D Their fans detest each other. Detest. Iraklis were even making fun of Savvidis last week in their stands with giant banners. This has nothing to do with Iraklis and fairness. PAOK wants to hurt PAO for abandoning Savvidis.

You see my friend Calcio? Every year there is a new Benfiquista coming on here saying Olympiacos has fixed the league to destroy other clubs (its rivals). This is nonsense. This is now the second time Olympiacos has voted to save PAO in the last few years.. The first time was when Alafouzos took over - PAO should have been demoted then because of debts but Olympiacos voted against their demotion and also convinced other clubs to do the same. Not only that - Olympiacos does not pick referees - Olympiacos does not even pick the man who picks referees! The current head of the EPO was planted there by PAOK. He is about to leave. The judge Skourti who gave PAOK back their points and allowed fans at the PAOK vs AEK game - a decision he made 1am on the day of game is another PAOK plant.   :D

League back on?

League back on! PAOK decision delayed to Thursday or friday... :crazy2: Probably EPO officials being threatened hourly to water-down any punishment.

Your main paper did a good expose on Greece recently:
