I wish you lose the final just cause i've read the word mafia or corruption linked to juventus too many times in only 3/4 times i joined this forum, just because of your friendship with turin friends, the cows...

Benfica has a historical and friendly relationship with Torino due to the tragedy of 1949. Surely, you can understand that, right?

We don't have any rivalry with Juventus: you're in Italy, we're in Portugal. It was normal to hear some provocations from the fans on each side during this heated tie - afterall, a final of an European competition was at stake - but those things are just part of football. Sure, our fans called you "thieves" and "mafia" but that's an image you'll never get rid of on the international stage. In fact, Italian football as a whole will never get rid of the image of corruption since it's so ingrained there. You are considered to be corrupt not just here in Portugal, but everywhere else as well. We didn't invent it, for God's sake! We just hit you in a soft spot and you got offended. That's kind of expectable. What I didn't expect was that your club should get offended at the banner honouring Torino's memory. That was just depressing on your part.

Nevertheless, it was clear from the get-go that your team underestimated us. Pirlo and Llorente practically took the victory for granted and that sort of disrespect just fueled the animosity from our fans. Then, the issue with Enzo Pérez was simply just a cheap shot and showed lack of class on your part. After that episode, there was no turning back. After the game, Conte was even worse, showing lack of class and an overall pathetic evaluation of what actually went on on the pitch. But that's his problem now, and yours, not ours.

As for the final in Turin, I understand that you wish Sevilla to win it. I don't take it personally. You're frustrated, that's fine. I do hope Torino fans help us there. It will certainly be an exciting event and I hope we finally clinch it.

Juventus could be known for many good things or players you had in the past... but it's undeniable that your club (at least) was, corrupt.We, Benfica fans, for the past 20+ years have been fighting againts an incredible Corrupt club and President (of Porto), so we are more "sensetive" to this things. And thats why you won't hear many good things about Juventus from our fans.

And than there's Platini and UEFA, who everyone hates, wich happens to be a Juventus fan... its too much!

I am pretty certain that Juve steals. But I also know that other Italian teams steal, like Milan, Inter, Fiorentina, Roma, etc. It's part of Italian football culture in particular and Southern European culture as a whole. It's nothing new.

Again, I don't have anything personal against Juve. From among the big three in Italy, it was the one I actually sympathised with the most. But in this tie, they showed lack of class and unsportmanship. Sure, it will all be pretty much forgotten in a few months time anyway. No need to get too hung up about it.
