Please watch this video. Yet another example of corrupt Turkish referees. After this game Besiktas lost the league title to Fenerbahce. Referee clearly sees Fenerbahce player controlling the ball with his hand, he first decides to blow the whistle but then gives up.  There are countless examples of such scandals in Turkish league unfortunately.

Yes, it is killing all sides. This week Galatasaray Will Play againts Basaksehir. This is a great advantage for Beşiktaş and Fenerbahçe. In two weeks There is another derby between Galatasaray and Besiktas. Basaksehir has a great advantage but many commentators in Turkey think that Besiktas will win the title.

Arda Turan is not good as he used to be. But Adebayor and couple of other players make difference. Plus, Basaksehir is seen to be Erdogan's or government's team. Refs are very easy on them. I guess they won't make it. They won't be able to handle the stress level of the last games of the league.

Unfortunately, last nigh was one of the worst football nights in the football history.  I want to share with you the shameful events taken place last night.

1. First, the Turkish football association appointed referees who known to be Fenerbahce's puppet. But Turkish media, which is heavily under the control of the Fenerbahce lobby started to portray that referees as being Besiktas' supporters.

2. When the game started Besiktas dominated the game, and humiliated Fenerbahce with a great play.

4. It became clear that Besiktas will win the game, then the Fenerbahce fans started to throw things to Besiktas players:

5. And Pepe was sent off but in a similar tackle Fenerbahce player was not sent off. Here is the evidence

6. Besiktas with one player missing continued to dominate the game. Fenerbahce fans did not stop throwing things to Besiktas players.  And the refs stopped the game and gathered in the midfield and second announcement was made.

7. After second announcment Fenerbahce fans continued to throw things because they knew that the refs have no gut to follow the rule to cancel the game.

8. Referee were supposed to cancel the game but they didn't simply because they are Fenerbahce fans.

9. And while the game stopped, some Fenerbahce fans attacked out coach Senol Gunes.

10. Referees still did not cancel the game. But when they understood that the game can not be played under such terror atmosphere, that went inside. Besiktas coach was hospitalized.

12. And today President Erdogan stated that "Fenerbahce cannot be blamed for what happened last night, those who provoked the game should not be seen as Fenerbahce supporters, there is a plot (conspiracy) against Fenerbahce.    

13. After Erdogan made this statement, Turkish media (which is under Erdogan's control) started to promote the idea that the game should be replayed from where it stopped.

14.  This is Turkish football. The only club that want to reach European standards is Besiktas but unfortunately the corrupt Turkish football structure wants to stop Besiktas.

It gets very confusing.

Are Greeks similar Turks concerning this nonsense because they lived under Turks for 400 years? There is still an Ottoman sentiment running through certain Greeks? Do Greeks miss the Ottoman system? Some type of Stockholm Syndrome?

Did the actual Greeks corrupt the Ottomans? Greeks were hugely influential in the Ottoman Empire (even some were Grand Viziers) and the major Ottoman cities kept large Greek communities intact...Greek habits merged with those of the Asian invaders - so are Turks influenced by Greek ideology?  Violence - corruption - outrageous political bias towards one club. The apology for violence. The initiation of conspiracy theories by elected officials who have nothing to do with football. What came first - the chicken or the egg?

Either way it reminds me of when Agent Smith merged in some weird way with Neo from the Matrix. Greeks still fear Turks massively. Not where I am from - but in Athens and the major centres - there is an inherent fear of Turkey. I don't know why.. Greek TV has wall to wall Turkish soaps on during the day and Greek communists would have wet dreams about Turkey pre-Erdogan..
