I'm aware of things in Balcans. I remember that Dinamo-Red Star where some people say that it was the beggining of the war...

I also think that 20 years later, things are much worse for the big 4 (Red Star, Partizan, Dinamo, Hajduk). These 4, huge, highly respected clubs are nothing, compared with what they were. No average team in western leagues fears playing in Serbia and Croatia anymore...and that is a shame, because i remember Marakana, Maksimir and Poljud were pretty hard stadiums to play. If it true that Bosman's Law changed everything...it isn't less true that talent still rises in that part of Europe. Maybe you need to focus in ending corruption and creating better facilities to this clubs get their level higher...not compared with what they used to be, but at least to make good participations on Europa League...because it's possible.

Most of these mythical Eastern clubs were basically state sponsored. It's not easy to make the transition to an open market society where you don't rely on state corporations anymore.

You are apsloutely in right,but that is far past... Yes,our stadiums,corruption,ilegally are BIG problems and we are active trying to change things the best we can. One thing maybe the best fact is that Dinamo( 9x champion in a row) has 2000 people average and their boss as I said afternoon already is apsloutely boss of country( He is best friend with one of most important judges,police spends all his orders -that is special story about repression of BBB .He does not allow many of them to go on matches by inventing rules and black lists,he founded new fan group that pays for cheerleading,he is BIG PIECE OF SHIT! )

That is biggest different between us and Serbs who are in cahoots with their people in clubs(mafioso) and police and they are in mutual war,they are killing within the group.

Red Star will be new champion only because the new Prime minister is Zvezda fan and he gives the governement money for mafia club Crvena zZvezda!
