Probably you have been already asked but What is the common view of the greeks of Portugal in general and about our football league?

Portugal is seen as a step up from the Greek league but I think most the fans think we can make better atmospheres in stadia than the portuguese.

As for the portuguese people, I don't think the Greeks dont really have many opinions. I think some new about fado music etc and liked it. Greeks in general are very friendly to southern european cultures but more distant to germany for obvious reasons. Greeks are also exceptionally friendly with Russians..

Yes you can.

How I wish our basketball pavillion had the atmosphere of a greek game.

If my partner bothered to talk to me in portuguese i would learn it over night. We have had big fights about this. Her English has gone from 0 to fluent and my Portuguese has gone from basic to basic...

I know if i type a post in portuguese it will have many errors so i don't bother. Soon however I will make sure I learn it.

And yes, Greek gives not help with anything.. luckily i did latin for many years, so learning portuguese wont be too hard.

U have too much class! Good luck in the Greek championship mate.

From a common portuguese point of view (I don't share these views at all):

Eastern european slavs: all the same, really don't know the difference between the countries

:2funny: :2funny: :2funny: I think every non-slav European thinks this..
Pretty much, yea. Also, every Slavic language seems to sound like Russian to most people. Not much of a shock since Slavic languages all have fairly similar phonology.

Many non-Scandinavians also think Norwegians, Swedes and Danes are all the same and can't tell them apart.

From a common portuguese point of view (I don't share these views at all):

Spanish: arch rival, think they are the best just because they're bigger

French: arrogants

English: snobs

Germans: arrogants who want to rule the world

Italians: Funny/crazy

Eastern european slavs: all the same, really don't know the difference between the countries

Scandinavian: emotionless people but somehow seem to be capable to organize themselves

Balcanic slavs: "jugoslavs", crazy

Romanians: gypsies

Turkish: crazy

Greeks: really no opinion, but kinda crazy as well

Fortunately this is changing.
Pretty accurate description of the stereotypes we have about certain people. Also, the Netherlands = drugs.

on a side note, Olympiakos signed 21 players this year. The Vazelos? 5.

Vergos made the Champion's league squad.

Actually, we have a saying in portuguese, when you're having a hard time doing something..it goes like this: "I found myself Greek to do that" (Vi-me Grego para fazer aquilo). Don't know where that came from, though.

As a portuguese I absolutely relate to what you describe about Greeks. We don't have that many money and were been sailing in dangerous waters but somehow...we have one of the best lifestyles in Europe. It's weird. We eat a lot in restaurants, go out at night a lot of times, the latest cell phone in the market, beaches..doesn't make many sense.

I've been almost everywhere in Europe but I never went to Greece. Big flaw in my passport. :(

Im asking about tifo, coreography in the stadium faliro  O0 if anything its prepared?

Faliro

Very good question. I have no idea. Usually we read a couple days before if the fans are planning something big. The game is a must win.

I have not been reading the red sites. The last thing I read was that Marinakis had to have a meeting with the fans who were angry with the de-hellenization of the team (with all the Greek players sold).

We have a few injuries and I am only thinking of OFI tomorrow.

OFI have many injuries so that hurts them obviously. Gattuso I am not sure about. If he was Greek he would park the bus... 11 players infront of the goal and play on the break. If he tries to play open, Olympiakos may have a better chance.

Problem is we are missing many many players too through injury - in every outfield position. We may have to start with the 21 year old Bouxalakis as Maniatis and N'Dinga are also injured..

I would say 60% chance of an Olympiakos victory.

The big story is it is Mitroglou's first game back since his disastrous move to Fulham. He will most likely be starting. Big game.
