I take back my previous assertion that Greek police are useless pieces of shit.

Apparently there were two arrests at the game!  O0

One for possession of Cannabis and one for insulting a police officer.. ;D ;D ;D

Lets give Faliro a quick Tugão workshop:

Three of the most influential people in Oporto history. It's a shame that they don't get the credits they deserve.

Perhaps the most famous night club in Portugal. Literally translated as The Heat of the Night, it's were all the fun took place. These hookers were funny, they had some kind of obsession with refs and corporative club members. Coincidence, I would say. Oh, and the place is owned by the right arm of Pinto da Costa, who is also the Vice President of Oporto.

On the left we have the leader of Oporto biggest support group, on the right the self proclaimed "Benfiquista" Pedro Proença, aka The best ref in the World, who in a very ironical way always ends up fucking Benfica.

The Court decides to put a rest in the infamous fruit&golden watch cases. Pinto da Costa it's just a nice guy, had nothing to do with favors and bribes.

Again, a very surprised Pinto da Costa, claims that he didn't know about the hookers.

Faliro

The linesman on either side of the ref look like twins?

So basically, Porto were getting the refs laid with nice Brazilian girls in order for some favours on the pitch?  ;D

They are.

Porto pays hookers, trips to Brazil and cash. They also bribe, threat and stalk almost everyone in the League Council, Portuguese Federation and Referee Association. They're losing strength due to the Golden Whistle case, which exposed all these things. But, lol, all cell wires were considered irregular evidence in Court.

But the octopus, as we call it, still has a lot of tentacles.

That is some crazy shit...

In Italy, clubs get punished once in a while. And people say Italy is the land of the mafia. That makes Portugal what?

To be honest, this fixing of games is prevalent in many countries... at least in countries like Portugal it is openly discussed.

Even in France, Germany and Belgium there have been match fixing scandals. It's not just the "broken" countries that are corrupt. Although I do shudder to think what goes on in football in Slavic countries, Romania, Turkey, etc.

Exactly, it is the countries you don't hear about that have you wonder... I watched some very ''''interesting'''' games when I lived Brazil.. What impressed me was the silence afterwards... in people's homes they would discuss refs, but the media seemed more fearful..

The media here doesn't really discuss the shady matters of football either. There have been a few times where they have but they never seem to dig too deep and always seem to imply that the suspects are most likely innocent.

Hell knows how it happened but it seems the PAO representative did have his lip split open by a Marikanis guard when the Super League meeting turned into an actual fight... I saw no blood however in the pictures - just him holding his lip and Olympiacos has accused Alafouzes of being a fantasist and making up the whole thing.. Olympiacos states the meeting got heated verbally and Konstantinou went for Marinakis and Marinakis' body guards did their job and restrained him so the boss was unhurt. The image of OFI and the former great Greek European Golden Boot winner Nikos Machlas shouting at PAO that they are lying and trying to kill OFI and backing up.agreeing with Marinakis is hilarious. OFI used to be owned by PAO, now they are free of that corruption and fighting for survival - still trying to get the minus 10 points removed.

Highly amusingly..the Greek Super League as you know is suspended, but in a somewhat rare move, the other leagues were allowed to continue.. Amusing because this is what happened in the Greek second division today.. Lamia vs Karditsa...

Here is the story, apparently.... a Karditsa fan threw a chair.. (how there are any chairs left attached to any concrete in any Greek second division stadia is a miracle in itself..but that is a another matter..) the chair landed right on a policeman's head. That 'broke the tension' as the Greeks would say.. and to mention another very very common Greek expression, ''a lot of wood was ate..(fighting)''

Two days before at Larissa's old Alkazaar stadium...Larissa vs Olympiakos Volos... the game was stopped for 20 minutes for some redecoration from fans..
