I have seen Arshavin play against Paços de Ferreira in front of 50 people (give or take).
Now I've seen the great Cambiasso play in Arouca against F.C.Arouca.

Another one of those excellent defensive midfielders that Real Madrid failed to appreciate (like Makelele). Cambiasso at his best was a great player. Positioning, intelligence, play-making ability. He had it.

It seems this a transitioning period for Olympiakos with all the problems facing Greece and the league itself.

Bento is a quality coach, don't ever doubt that. He will bring stability, work ethic and accountability to the players. He's also very upfront but loyal to the club.

As I said before, I wish him all the best. He's a very underrated coach. Olympiakos would do good to hold on to him for more than the typical one season. He's the type of manager that you can rely on for long term plans. The sort that looks firstly to the club he represents rather than to his own career.

Rumours are that Marinakis understands the fans are suffering badly. This is a dangerous and very emotionally challenging transition. There are rumours he will give the fans some big presents on Thursday when we play Arouca - to cheer us up. Some players may be unveiled that will raise us many levels above everyone else and will shock the fans.

Who knows.. could just be rumours.. This season.. when I think about it.. it puts my stomach in knots. When I look at my other team - Barcelona, I see that fat Turk starting on the wing. This will be a long season for me.

Ibagaza and Modesto and the new technical team - They will give Bento what he wants. The team will be designed around players Bento feels can make the difference.

Bento impressed me on one thing already. Against Arouca he brought on Androutsos who turned 19 this year - who had never played a senior game in his life. Olympiacos has perhaps the best academy in the Balkans but rarely sticks with the talents produced. When asked why he brought on Androutsos - Bento simply replied he did well in training that week.

We have not had a manager like that since Zico.

Bento is great with youngsters.

That's a reason why he'll probably do very well in Olympiacos if you're transitioning to a phase where you need to actually rely more on homegrown talent.
