I'm surprised you're only 1 point ahead of the 2nd placed team PAOK. Also, you've conceded 16 goals already and PAOK have only considered 7 so far?

I see Pana are like 17 points behind you. Damn, they sem to be doing really badly. AEK Are 3rd and 3 points behind you, it seems.

What's your record for number of leagues won in a row? 7? Might make it 8 this season.

Will Greek football improve in the next few years? You're even below the leagues form Austria and Czech Republic in the UEFA coeficients.

The league is the closer this year than it has been in years. PAOK and AEK are far stronger than previously. Far more organised too. PAO are disintegrating, I will compose a post very soon to update you all to how many players they have lost this winter to pay debts.

Yes, we have reached 7 league titles in a row twice. If we win this year - we break all records.

As to improvement - Greek football for me lives and dies on its stadia. I know many will question that - but that is how feel. Many teams go homeless for years - AEK has been homeless since 2003 for example.. This minute AEK's small 31,800 stadium is finished - the league improves double imo. The minute Toumba is rebuilt (they leave this year for Toumba to be rebuilt) the league improves again. The minute Aris is back - the league improves again. PAO for example - that little Leoforo stadium has got them out of lots of trouble in the past. They can assert a very tough atmosphere there. The Greek league I think will rise again, but it depends on the infrastructure. The more new stadia - the more good players want to come and play in Greece.

Are you talking about this old plan?

PAOK seems much more organized and stable, not the old PAOK that we knew, what explain that?

That is an old design. PAOK will reveal a new plan this year most likely. They want something similar in style to Juventus' new stadium. The Toumba (means tombs in Greek) will be demolished and rebuilt. The old plans were attempts to refurbish the Toumba and bring the stands closer by removing the void that was probably for a running track originally.  Plan is demolish the Toumba this summer and works start on the new Toumba in 2019. The estimated capacity of the new stadium will be around 33,000 - making it perhaps the biggest football only stadium in Greece. Greeks don't like big arenas.. :crazy2:

PAOK's stability is from the Russo-Greek owner Savvidis (friend of Putin apparently). He has made massive massive mistakes - but he has money. PAOK's previous owner owned a radio station.... Savvidis on the other hand is very rich.

Yeah you only have the mighty olympic now used by AEK but it looks deserted all the time. I remember the leaves playing there as well, specially in some european matches where they could actually get a great atmosphere. I had no idea their real home stadium was so small, with only 15k capacity.

Yea Leoforos is tiny and very old too. That is why PAO under various presidents moved to the OAKA. The only time the OAKA makes sense is if there are at least 50,000 fans in there - anything lower and the place looks ridiculous.

Leoforos needs demolition - problem is - there is no room to build anything bigger, the max you can get out the site is 20,000. PAO amateur wanted to build a 40,000k stadium there and even made some very good plans but it involves knocking down the refugee housing and there is no money in PAO to do anything anyway.

Well, I guess because it is difficult to find the one that is trained, to land on the crest etc...within a short time.

Don't Lazio and Crystal Palace have one each?

Yes, I have seen the one of Lazio do the same routine. But apparently, AEK does not have one, or he was on vacations. ;D
