Newcastle, Juventos e Villarreal não vão à Liga dos Campeões e nós passamos para o segundo pote, mas acho que o Bremen nos pode passar, porque eles ainda têm dois jogos (se os ganharem, são 4 pontos), 1 ponto por chegarem à final e 2 pontos se ganharem a final...

From 1999 on these points are halved for qualification matches: one point for a win and half a point for a draw. One bonus point is allocated for reaching the quarter final, the semi final and the final. Reaching the group stage of the Champions League yields three bonus points (before 1996: 2 points, from 1996-2004: 1 point). As of the 2004/05 season teams qualifying for the first knock-out round of the Champions League will be awarded with an extra bonus point. The so-called UEFA coefficients are calculated by taking an average, based on the total number of points divided by the total number of teams of each country.

To determine the participants in the Champions League and the UEFA Cup the last year ranking is used, because each country should know at the start of the season how many places it disposes.

The UEFA team coefficients are calculated as the sum of the number of points of each individual team, and 33% of the country coefficient. Before 2004 the contribution of the country coefficient was 50%.  For the calculation of the individual points of the team coefficients games played in qualifying rounds are not taken into account.
The UEFA team ranking is computed by the sum of 5 coefficients in the last 5 years.

Hipóteses para o pote 2 da Champions:

Obviamente que em primeiro lugar temos que ser segundo no campeonato ou passar a pré.

Nesta altura somos 19ºs do Ranking mas 3 que estão à nossa frente não jogarão a Champions (Juventus, Newcastle e Vilareal). Neste caso já estaríamos no Pote 2. Só que o Bremen ganhando a Uefa passar-nos-ia e um dos que estão à nossa frente teria que falhar a Champions.

Para já há alguma boas hipóteses:

Bayern não conseguir um dos 3 primeiros lugares da liga alemã. Nesta altura são quartos a 5 pts do terceiro.
Psv não ser apurado na Holanda. O campeão holandês entra directo. O 2º será apurado num play off entre os classicados de 2º a 5º. Psv à entrada para a última jornada é terceiro.
Valência não conseguir um dos primeiros 4 lugares na Espanha. Actualmente é quinto.

A ver se eu percebo. Se o Bremen não ganhar a UEFA estamos directamente no pote 2. É assim?

Se ganhar, tem que acontecer uma das 3 hipóteses que dás no fundo. Certo?
