Oh well, it's hard days for Benfica and Liverpool fans...

It just wasn't to be. When Benfica has a bad season, Liverpool has a bad season. The year you were european champions, was the year we won our domestic league for the first time in 11 years. This year we win absolutely nothing and so does Liverpool...

But as they say, what doesn' kill you, only makes you stronger and i'm sure scousers and benfiquistas will have a lot to celebrate in the future!

I dont know too much about him, he basically got on with his job effieciently and effectivly in his time with us and we had a noticeable drop in form immediately after his departure, a bit a a tactical genius i would say!

In Portugal, is a little bit different... I'm benfiquista, and I'm from near Oporto.
In the Área Metropolitana do Porto, has a lot of benfiquistas and some lagartos (sportinguistas).

SL Benfica = national team!

Good luck to Portugal tonight by the way, although i dont want ronaldo to win anything else and hope he gets badly injured, but thats nothing against your country its just him and his club team....most Liverpool fans will be supporting spain, who i know you dont get on to well with but im sure you can guess why we will be hoping they do well?

As for the Oporto thing, we really can't mix the city and it's citizens with the club (although sometimes it's hard to do that). Oporto is a beatiful city, it has an astonishing amount of Benfica fans, but unfortunately has the major defect of having an horrible, horrible football club connected to the city.

As for the Euro, thanks for the good luck, but i understand why Liverpool fans support Spain (as i guess, the majority of Man Utd fans will support Portugal)...

About Cristiano Ronaldo...huuum, wait until he win us the bloody competition and then let him have the injury

Yeah, Quaresma would be a great addittion to Liverpool, because you really need good wingers. Although, i must say that Quaresma is very inconsistent. He's the type of player that makes one brilliant game, 3 awful, every 4 games...

But i suppose he would improve a lot in England (like Nani did, believe me, he was shit here in Portugal...).

Yeah, we have a new manager. It's Quique Flores, Valencia manager for the past 3 years. Doesn't have exactly a great CV, but he's young and the first impression was good, so i'm hoping he'll be the "special one" we've been waiting for to lift this sleeping giant...

And about Liverpool, what are the rumours? I heard you bought Degen, but i think you need more players for the wings. You have a great spine with Reina, Carragher, Skrtel, Gerrard, Mascherano, Fernando Torres, but you lack some quality at left back, right back and wingers, don't you think?
