Oh Liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiverpoooooooool Oh Liiiiiiiiiiverpoooooooooooooool...

I miss Anfield... We're having a rocket start at Premier League, which didn't happen in the last seasons, and I believe this year we are serious contenders!

Also, when I saw the Champions League draw, I only had one doubt... 16 or 18 points? :)

Thanks xico id take 16 point  ;) When i saw the draw i thought 2nd place Celtic or Benfica? because we respect you both.

You are welcome at anfield anytime as long as you join in with all the songs that is!

Bakero, thanks for all this knowledge you are giving me, i hate them more every time i see your posts, do you have any anti porto songs you can teach me to sing when i go to porto?  O0

Oh when the reds......

As RuiCosta_10 said, the best way you can annoy them is singing simply...Benfica! We're their pain in the ass!  :clap1:.

GloriosoLFC,

In truth we only chant supporting songs to Benfica. We have no songs against anyone, unless sometimes against our opponent in a given game.

What happens sometimes, and this is funny, is when Sporting or Porto score a goal, their fans sing SON'A BITCH SLB, SON'A BITCH SLB instead of Glorioso SLB. And this happens not only against us, but in LIga matches and even european matches.

They realy have a inferiority complex with Benfica.

Thats basically what its like for us, we only like to sing songs in support of our team, apart from the odd exception when we play certain teams (chelsea, everton, man utd), if somebody tries to start an anti chelsea or manc song when were not playing them they will quickly be drowned out, but man utd love to sing about us every single game, which is up to them but make your own judgement on what you think of them singing anti liverpool songs as theyre playing reading?

Corrosivo even though i respect your team and hope they do will its not in our nature to wear ANY other teams attire, we are Liverpool and nobody else and if i started a Benfica chant, i would soon be drowned out by a Liverpool chant because as i said above we sing songs to support our team, thanks for the advise but dont think ill be doing any of that.

A porto fan didnt take kindly to some comments make on our forum:

http://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=192575.msg3354244#msg3354244

Well, the Porto fan made one correct point, i must say: we cannot mix Porto fans with Porto citizens. Because the majority of Porto citizens are nice people and a lot of them are Benfica fans, anyway  :).

But there is a minority (speccialy, as it has been already said, the members of the ultra group "Super Dragões") who are absolutely disgusting. They make problems everywhere they go and are just a bunch of criminals, hidden behind a mantle of "football fans". To give you an example, few months ago a former Benfica (and NT) player died and it was made a minute of silence in all portuguese grounds to honour his life. Troughout all that minute they whistle and sang anti-Benfica songs! Even this year when they camed to the Benfica stadium to the Benfica-FCPorto game, they thrown very-lights to the Benfica supporters, including womens and childrens!  :tickedoff:

Just more 2 examples of the evident corruption that goes in our football:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SuY6bE8GhAQ - The Porto player had already a yellow card, and he didn't reiceve any card from this play!! I mean, if this is not an instant red card, what is?  :disgust:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SM8bQCSlWVM - Porto players molest the assistant referee. What happened to them? Nothing, of course!

And bear in mind: i'm only showing you clips of games involving Benfica and Porto! Imagine what goes on in the other games...look, even this weekend they scored a goal from a cross made...outside the pitch!! Watch the clip and see the second goal: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P82YbqtG9LY. I mean, what can a guy that loves his club and football do? Because i'm addicted, i can't abandon this game  ;D, but sometimes...this is all very revolting!

Ps: About the minute of silence i remembered the following: fantastic attitude of your club and Liverpool fans with the Everton fan boy that died the other day. For a moment, you were able to forget rivalries and applause the Everton himn. Fantastic! If i already have a lot of respect and admiration (and believe me, i have a lot! Lol) for the Liverpool fans, it's made even bigger!

A persons lifes is more important than any rivalry:

Will any of you be making the trip to scotland? if you havent been to celtic park then you should.

That second clip just makes me want Liverpool to win the league even more, just to be there as on the day we seal the title would be incredible, the champions league was great but ive never had the chance to see us win the league live being only relatively young, thanks for the clips...a SLB And Liverpool league title double would be out of this world.

Believe me mate, it was the best feeling in the world. In that moment everything was perfect and it was one of the best nights of my life! The last time Benfica won the title was in 1994, i was only 11 years old, so this title (04/05) was one highly expected from me.

And let's say that i spent 2 or 3 days celebrating and don't ask me much about those days...   :drunk:  :police:

But, of course, i can't even imagine how it must be to see our club winning the Champions League!!   :whistle2:

Ps: If you're interested in seeing videos of great Benfica games and moments of the past, i have a blog that you may find interesting: www.memoriagloriosa.blogspot.com (try to do the translation with Babelfish or Google, although this engines are so limited... :bah2:).

For instance, Benfica winning Arsenal in Highbury in 1991 for the Champions Cup  :bow2::

Or you can see how much it meant to us winning in Anfield, with this video that shows, amongst other things, how we celebrated troughout the night and received the team at the airport  :slb2:

The wildest european game of our history!! 1/4 finals of the Cup winners cup (93/94) with Leverkusen. At home 1-1, in Germany... :o

But 4 years later...we winning the Portuguese Cup, defeating Mourinho's FCPorto in the final!  :winner:
