Greetings from Liverpool FC good luck this season...

You cant buy tickets for away games online, has to be through estadio da luz or one of the casas, for example you could try Sport London e Benfica

I've always dreamed of going to Anfield since the 80's when we met twice in the champions cup and I've missed both away matches.

I finally went there on 2006 to see Benfica winning 2-0. Being around the Kop and feeling the atmosphere was really great. Winning there was even better!

I didn't have any problems walking around the city, dowtown or near the stadium. At the end of the match, though we waited a bit to get out, we came across many Liverpool supporters talking to us and congratulating us.

I'll be there again on April 8th...

I was there too, and i have to say i was a little afraid after winning 2-0 to walk in the city and going to pubs.

But when i enter on one pub and a lot of L´pool fans congrat us and even paid us beers, it was amazing, great people, great fans, great city, great club !

It´s a shame that our clubs don´t meet in the final, but it´s what we have...

Benfica and Liverpool are two great teams in the history of european football, so i expect nothing less than two great games. I also hope that we can go through to the semi-final.

Cheers to all Liverpoll fans, i hope those who came visit us, enjoy the city and the stadium.

Pubs/Bars, I'd go to Bairro Alto. Subway Station: Baixa/Chiado. If you carry your Liverpool scarf you may make new friends among the green lizzards scum (blergggg).

As for strip clubs, never been there... But there are some rumours about some good places... It depends how much you are willing to pay for a beer. Passerelle, subway Campo Pequeno; Elefante Branco, subway Marquês de Pombal are the most famous.  There are some underground ones too, but those I do not recommend.

For everyone who is going to Liverpool:

Rail strike between 6th and 9th April, so make sure you have a plan B if you are thinking of going on the rail.

Hey! Does anyone here know which British channel will broadcast the Benfica x Liverpool match, on April 1st?

I really need to know, because I'll be in London and I sure don't want to miss it.

Channel 5 from 7:30pm live from Estádio da Luz :) .

ITV (Channel 3) showing the spaniards.

Those are open signal ones, right? So can I watch them in a hotel room?

idefi

Yes, channels 1 to 5 are your normal terrestrial channels.

For an english guy, it is ok. For us is still a little bit cold. On thursday it will be around 15ºC at kick-off time. No rain forecasted, just some clouds...

What about in the day warm enough, to sit outside and have a beer in your shorts?
