Basaksehir have better players but I think that they don't have motivation anymore. They play in a club with money but without soul or supporters.

But the atmosphere for the home match in particular will be hot considering their opponent if Olympiakos doesn't mess up agains the czechs.

Weird thing is we now don't have a striker as good as Kouka. We submitted an offer for him but it was rejected. Mendes is his agent.

The strikers we are left with:

Soldano - shit.
Guerrero - shit.
El Arabi - looks ok, but untested.
Hugo Cuypers - Martins didn't want him it seems.

We have a massive problem here - plus Fortounis's replacement - Valbuena is shit..

We are weaker this season than last. Only improvement is Semedo.  I don't like to say this, but PAOK have had a better transfer period than us.

They signed:

Douglas Augusto from Corinthians. Very good CM.
Stoch from Slavia. Serviceable winger who knows the club.
They also have a very useful player coming up through their youth team and straight into their main squad called Gaitanidis who is a second striker but scores every game.

Olympiacos have had a poor off season.

It has been acknowledged Valbuena cannot hold the 10 position while Fortounis is out after Plzen. We will acquire our 8th transfer of the summer to fill the position immediately.

The obvious choice is Forest's João Carvalho but there has been no mention of him since he picked up that injury.

However more likely is a player who was on loan at Fener last season, anyone know of him? Yassine Benzia. Looks like a disaster on paper.

I don't really like Pedro Martins tbh, so there's that. Still, you have a pretty good squad for the greek league. Should be able to compete for the title.

Maybe Marinakis is waiting to see if you can get to the CL group stages to go after some bigger fish?

These last few names look terrible.

João Carvalho would be great though. Extremely underrated talent. If you put him on Fortounis' role, he'll thrive. The Greek league suits him.
