Said that from day 1 also.

The thing is, at the time Samaris arrived here, we were lacking a holding mid-fielder since Fejsa had an injury that lasted for almost a whole year. So Jesus had to come up with a plan to fill in that position on the pitch. Hence why Samaris had a bit of a rocky start here and people were questioning his signing. He eventually got used to the role.

As for he playing as a centre back, I need to see more games to judge, but Samaris does seem like a polyvalent player and those are important in squads.
