We had a tough month and besides many people said " in September we até done" the team are first in the league and in the group stage.

The draw against Sporting was unfair, we deserved the victory...

Sadly there's always a game or two like that. We also should have beaten PAOK at Luz.

5 wins and 3 draws in official games. 2 of the draws were against Fenerbahçe and PAOK, so it didn't really matter in the end since we knocked-out both teams. A shame the draw in the league had to be against Sporting.

Is not easy to explain.
Last year our rivals start a war against Benfica. Specially FC Porto. They hacked Benfica e-mail and started to show every week in Porto TV e-mails about some Benfica's businesses and tried to find somethings illegal. After that started some anonymous complains to the police about Benfica (our ultras who aren't registered ,due to the portuguese law they are illegals, and some more staff) and police (from Porto city) started to make investigations.
After some months the Police found out that the Benfica's director of justice department was espying them. He was getting information about the investigations related by some people he know who worked in Portuguese Justice Department. He gave to these guys some presents as tickets to the games or Benfica shirts. So now this guy Paulo Gonçalves will be in court accused of corruption of these guys and another crimes that they use to call translated from portuguese as "violation of justice secret" related to the getting information from inside about the investigations. It's a crime very usual in Portugal is happening all the times the press always make it revealing things about processes that are in investigation.
Anyway the accusation decided to put Benfica also in court, saying that all Benfica directors knew about Paulo Gonçalves behavior. And they ask in court for suspend Benfica from all competitions for a time from 6 month to 3 years.

This is what the accusation ask, but in the end I have doubts if they can really accuse Benfica about this sheet. And even if they can prove that Benfica's staff in general were involved and not just this guy, Paulo Gonçalves, (who is really a trash and deserves to be condemned) doesn't make sense this punishment of suspending Benfica, for a kind of crime like that.

Anyway for us fans is always embarrassing to see this things happening with our club

yes it was bad to watch. at one point we were using a sort of double right back with Gedson replacing the mediocre Almeida and him being more like a third CB.

Varkas - the keeper who failed to save that long rolling shot from Alfa is the Greek NT starting keeper. Odysseas - who imo was stunning - has not even been capped by Greece at any level and he should be the Greek number 1.
