Greetings from Liverpool FC good luck this season...

DaLuz

You can bring your shorts. If the weather tomorrow is like today you won´t get any problem. I had lunch outside and it was ok.

Enjoy your stay at Lisbon. If you want to drink some beers(Sagres) near the stadium ask for the bar/restaurant "Terceiro Anel". It is located near adidas megastore.

Cheers

2.000 tickets returned? :O

No suprised, 4 many reasons...flights too expensive, shortish notice, its a bank holiday weekend over here so people may have arranged other holiday in advance, plus the fact alot were there a few years back and alot have stopped because it's the europa not the champions league.

Anyways us who are coming will try are best 2 make up 4 it! :p and ta DaLuz, shorts are packed! this will probably be my last visit so if you see a skinny lad that looks like a meerkat in your city tomorrow, that's me! :)

I don't understand this. I know people were struggling with the ridiclous easter flight prices but still...  Fuck, anway, the 1500 or however many of us that come will just have to do twice as much singing. I just can't wait for this game, I'm buzzing.

Dear Liverpool fans,

This will be a pleasure for me to be in your mythic Anfield stadium on April 8th for the first time. I am excited and look forward to this date! I know that you are great fans. Now I have one question. The places were bought from Liverpool FC website, in the upper mainstand (MF). I will be there with my father, and I would like to know if it is risky to go there if you are not a Liverpool fan. Obviously I will behave, but would like to know for instance if it is risky to bring there a Benfica scarf. I will be grateful if you reply, letting me thus prepare better myself and my father for what will be expecting us...

Kind regards

Senhor_Beef

I highly doubt that you'd have any trouble in the main stand mate, like you say, as long as you're sensible. A lot of the older fans tend to sit there so it's all quite calm! I really hope you enjoy your trip to Anfield  :drunk:

Will be the same again, two greats clubs who respect each other!
So my friends i need advice on pubs/bars and maybe a decent stripclub...where's the best places? :)

Pubs/Bars, I'd go to Bairro Alto. Subway Station: Baixa/Chiado. If you carry your Liverpool scarf you may make new friends among the green lizzards scum (blergggg).

As for strip clubs, never been there... But there are some rumours about some good places... It depends how much you are willing to pay for a beer. Passerelle, subway Campo Pequeno; Elefante Branco, subway Marquês de Pombal are the most famous.  There are some underground ones too, but those I do not recommend.

Ta mate, ill make a note of them, whats the weather like today will i need my shorts and shades on wednesday??? :)

For an english guy, it is ok. For us is still a little bit cold. On thursday it will be around 15ºC at kick-off time. No rain forecasted, just some clouds...

What about in the day warm enough, to sit outside and have a beer in your shorts?

I think so, but you'd better bring your jeans in your backpack ...

Senhor_Beef,

First of all, must say Liverpool is my favorite foreign team. Always enjoy Anfield Road, the Kop, your past squads and fans spirit. I was one of yours at Istambul and really love Liverpool. To bad our teams face eachother at 1/4 of Europe League.

Another things, i read most important forums at 'Red and White Kop' (RWK) but unfortunately cannot register just to share some information and 'talk' about both games (1st/8th April). Is there a way to register/sign up at RWK forum? Please, contact any admin or moderator and make that option available.

Finally, tomorrow i'll be out of work and have spare time to lunch near Rossio Square at a restaurant called Bonjardim: oldest restaurant with roast chicken and nice chips. You, or your friends, should try it:

Weather we'll be cool and you could enjoy sun and our beer. I'll be there with a red Adidas sweat.

And, is very near Rossio Square, where all 'Reds' will meet to chill out while waiting right hour to go to the stadium. Map, just in case:

Cya and don't forget RWK forum thing. Cheers  :drunk:

My apologies to all Liverpool fans! The behavior of a few benfiquistas inside the SLB stadium it was a really shame and that its not the spirit of being Benfiquista!

I have been reading some very disrespectful criticism of Benfica online, from Liverpool fans. I don't sense any respect at all for Benfica, Benfica fans or the Portuguese public in general.

Yeah, I love Liverpool, but I'm a bit annoyed with what I'm reading at RAWK.

Yes, there are some very stupid people at our ultra section, but generalize that to all Benfica fans it's uncalled for.

We gave it all in support to our team, made what I believe a great football atmosphere and I saw the arrival of the Liverpool fans and they were treated with respect. I know at the end, some Benfica fans went on to shake hands with Liverpool fans.

Anyway, this is all due to our passion for our clubs and I'm sure after the tie, whoever goes through, the large majority of Benfica fans will keep having the most of admiration for Liverpool and their great fans and hopefully the sentiment will be reciprocal.

Hello Senhor Beef

How about that match yesterday ?

I was in Liverpool Forum, i was curious about   what you guys felt yesterday, and i read some stuff, that i was sorry to read...

I would like to say, that i also think the referee made mistakes, for both sides, but i was sad to read that some people tought he was bent...

That is not in our tradition,as Benfica club and supporters like i believe that also is not in the tradition of Liverpool

Also some stuff written about our supporters...

I cannot apologise for the actions of some stupid fucks, that threw the fireworks, but i can point my finger at it...

I think 99% of the Benfica supporters does not agree with that kind of actions, do not know if you understood, but after the second one went out the all stadium started shouting in the direction of the place where they were seated, calling them clowns and as they are...

People like the ones who use fireworks in that way, are not supporters, they should be banished from stadiums

Our supporters do put pressure on the visiting teams, but with their voices and entusiasm...the ones who use fireworks are not worth of beeing called supporters, hope you can see the diference..

Please do not judge all of us for 2 or 3 mentaly handicaped ...

Lets keep the rivality in the pitch and the fair play outside...

Both Clubs, both suporters (the real ones) deserve that

About the match, i liked it...

Babel was very low in his action, deserved red card

I f Luisao had gotten the same because of his tackle over Torres, that would be fair...luckly for us he didnt get it...

But all in all, it was a good game, with passion and will...

Hard game, but they were men and gentelman, i played rugby for a long time and i was happy to see yesterday, after the game, players shaking hands...

Its going to be tough in Anfield, but if you want to be the best you have to beat the best , may the best side win...

Cheers
