We had our episodes here aswell and honestly in case of Porto i think that the rabit hole might go deeper then we thought.
Some years ago there was someone from porto staff that died on that same stadium, the death was atributed to natural causes but it was under strange circunstances at the very least.
There are even the famous audio tapes of Portos president Pinto da Costa bribing referees, that very case that was known as "Apito Dourado" or "The Golden Wistle"

I think football itself is something were lines between good and evil sometimes become blured and i truly believe that we might only see half or even less than what is really happening in and outside the pitch.
Its like paranormal phenomenons, you might not believe them happening but there are people who claimed to have witnessed it having and you really do not know the full truth.

There is shit going on... so ridiculous.. probably no one believe it unless you witnessed it first hand. And I believe this happens at all levels of the game, in many different countries.

There are many Panathinaikos fans in Greece who gave up following their football team years ago.. and now only follow Olympiacos to see if they have cheated in a game.. they make dvds of decisions they think were paid for.. despite the fact that bad decisions by refs in Greece are spread across all teams in all games.

However.. I have seen decisions even more ridiculous in La Liga and the Premiership than in Greece.. so either the whole world is corrupt.. or refs everywhere are shit..

My belief - in general is that most referee's poor decisions in games - in the top divisions - are around 95% stupidity or lack of attention..maybe 5% bias. Depends on the game..and what the media is saying that week. If a player in a club is caught diving and earning a penalty.. many refs will give the same team a bit of a hard time the following week.. maybe consciously or unconsciously..

I spose I have never really sat down and tried to unravel why I follow what goes on in Greece. I like the land and beaches. Souvlaki.. But the culture of the people.. I find is hugely depressing. I think my mother in a very underhand way tried to brainwash me concerning Greece. Either way, the place is crazy. Anarchic. Its just another beautiful country with lunatics.
