Fascinating game. They are on high form, we.. well you know..

they threw everything at us, but we had our fans back. We got better as the game progessed and by the end could have scored a few more.

Ferencváros will not play a game this weekend to rest and stand a better chance against us. Therefore, we asked to do the same. We needed 10 teams to say yes to delaying our PAOK game on Sunday.. Look what happened:


In favor of the postponement: Olympiacos, Atromitos, Asteras, Volos, PAOK, Panserraikos, OFI

Against the postponement: AEK, Aris, Panathinaikos (even though we voted for them to be able to delay a game recently!)

Refused to vote: Lamia, Kifissia, PAS Ioannina, Panaitolikos.

One of the best Podence games in his career. Fortounis good. Rodinei immense. Horta, Hezze and Chiquinho solid. Carmo - SUPERB. Whole ream was brilliant. Coach was incredible.

Beat the Hungarians home and away and are now in the last 16.




Mendilibar uses Horta, Chiquinho and Carmo as starters.

All 3 are playing very well. Chiquinho has very good close control and attacking vision. Horta covers space very well and has a good touch. Carmo has been a beast. All 3 are enjoying playing for Olympiakos.

Yea. Mendilibar admitted he got the starting 11 wrong! Changed it to the strongest players second half and we won.

I think he will now realise which players are a liability. Navarro, Richards, Iborra etc do not offer enough.

What is hilarious is Kyfissia drew 1-1 at the Leofors with PAO and could of easily beaten them. They hit a post etc with a one on one. If PAO had lost, I think Terim would have been sacked.

I should say that I wasn't able to watch a single minute of the first leg in Piraeus but judging by the result, it was an unmitigated disaster.

Regardless, this evening was magical, @Faliro! 6-1! One for the ages.
