At the moment i prefer Skrtel, at the start of the season nobody knew wether it would be Agger or Skrtel partnering Carragher, but Agger didnt play too well away in Liege so after Hyypia filled in against Sunderland Skrtel got the nod for the 1st home game against boro as was solid as fuck, and basically has been since, until he makes a major error he will be 1st choice at the back with JC and he deserves it, he's strong, reasonably quick, good reader of the game but most of all he's not scared to put any part of his body in where it hurts...a very good signing for us, he's just an mean looking ugly fucker

I'd agree with that. It's still a shame to see a player as good as Agger on the bench but Skrtel has earnt it, and you can see he would jump in front of a bus for Liverpool if he had to, so it's impossible not to like him!!

Well, let's hope this year is the year for liverpool and benfica. I don't think Porto (*spits on floor*) look as strong as last year, and Benfica's win on saturday keeps them right up there... I'm sure Nacional wont be there for long so it's very much up for grabs!!

But it will be hard for the kid to gain a spot in the first 11 with Xabi,Lucas,Mascherano,Gerrard.

I Have high hopes for N'Gog i watched a couple of games last season from him and we has one heck of a kidd very quick, great technique and great goals

Plessis is a good prospect yes, but needs more 1st team experience. The problem though, as im sure yoi know is most games are so important these day that you cant afford not to play your absolute strongest team, he will play league cup and maybe the odd one or too...how he does in them will shape his future, he was able when he got his chance but didnt do quite enough to get any closer to the 1st team in major games, at least two of Alonso, masch and Gerrard must be in them.

N'gog on the other hand looks very lively, i think he will do well when he get the chance, with the similar problem of getting in the team but im more confident he will become more regular in the Future. He's extremely fast and direct and no defender likes that.

Reyes scored against Sporting, and he did it again against Napoli today (we won 2-0)
